I was looking at the calendar and saw the end of the year drawing near. I thought, "Gosh, I'm not far from where I was last year, spiritually." I haven't grown much or any at all. I need to do something. Discovery class was coming up so I took it. I've been a Christian a long time and have been going to this church for a few years. The class was the basics for a new Christian, but it was a refresher for me. What it means to be a Christian. In taking the class, I thought about my own walk with God. Have I really been living my life as the Christian I claim to be. Seeing Elena and Johnny reminded me of the year I became a born again Christian. They are so fired up about this newly found faith. I had lost that fire in me. This class was an awakening, it allowed me to look carefully at my walk with God. I completed the class as a step towards re-committing my life to God.
